Stir Up Sunday
Traditionally, the last Sunday before Adventt is known as "Stir Up Sunday", regarded as the best time to get stirring and make your own Christmas Pudding. Reception, of course, rose to the challenge, making not one but a veritable army of mince pies, for a very special visitor that they had heard about!
Some of these pastries had, you understand, to be sampled fresh, so there may not be that many left by December 24th-back to cookery next week, we think-even Mr Cahillaine was able to sample one, and it was, by all accounts, a simply fabulous mince pie, made possible by our Food Technology room.
