Pastoral Care
Wrap around care to make life easier
Wrap around care, starting with Early Morning Club and finishing with a healthy snack at the After School Club, is available for those who need it. We want our pupils to feel safe, happy and welcome so we place great emphasis on pastoral care throughout the school, including early morning and after school care.
Staff are always ready and willing to listen to children’s concerns before the bell goes, during school and through to after school care time. We have an open door policy for parents. If there are any problems at school or at home, we would encourage you to speak to your child’s class teacher. The Head Teacher’s door is also open should you wish to discuss any concerns.
“The school provides excellent levels of pastoral care.” ISI Inspection Report, May 2015.
Anti-Bullying Ambassadors
Our Year 4 students have recently completed the AB Diana Award to help us tackle bullying and make our school a happy and joyful place for all students.
The Diana Award encourages young people, parents and teachers to change the attitudes, behaviour and culture of bullying by enhancing skills and building confidence to address different situations. Our students have worked extremely hard and have now become Clevelands very own Anti-Bullying Ambassadors. Our school does not tolerate bullying and we encourage all students to be kind and respectful to others.
